Materials needed:
White poster board
Markers
Crayons
Tape
Orange, yellow, and brown construction paper

Preparation:
Draw a turkey without feathers on the poster board. Color the turkey. Tape the picture to the wall. Make feathers out of construction paper. Write messages on the backs of each feather such as “clap your hands ten times” or “touch your nose with both thumbs”. Attach the feathers to the turkey.

Carrying out the activity:
Have one child pluck a feather from the turkey. Have the children do what the message says. Have another child pluck a feather, etc.

This can be a varied activity. For instance, make a tree for Christmas and write on the back of the ornaments.
